Pic below of morning sky outside of Mullen.
I was in the Sandhills during a large part of the day. They got smaller as I moved East, and eventually went away and were replaced by corn fields (pics below).
I'm now one time zone closer to home.
I've been told by a couple of locals that the wind primarily blows out of the south this time of year. As soon as I got out of the Sandhills and started heading southeast, I knew they were speaking the truth. These flags are pointing to the north.
I don't think there is anything more humbling than riding a bicycle against a stiff headwind. It is a great teacher of patience and persistence. Enough said about my last 41 miles of my ride today.
I was pretty exhausted when I pulled into Broken Bow. I stopped by DQ and had a couple of double cheeseburgers. Then off to the local supermarket for food. While I was at the supermarket, I treated myself to dessert (pics below).
It only had 600 total calories. I think I need another : )
I went to the city RV park (Tomahawk Park), and it is only $5 to pitch a tent. It also comes with a shower. Best priced city campground so far.
Total miles today: 97.1
Central time zone, might as well say your home. Down hill now. Margie wants to no how your wife tracks you, what app.
