Started out this morning in a steady rain which continued for about half the day before the sun popped out.
Rode about 5 miles on the Richard Martin Trail (pic below) which is a rails to trails that goes into Elkmont. It was very relaxing hearing the wind blowing through the leaves and listening to the birds chirping while on the trail.
After Elkmont, the next little community I came to was Veto, which is close to the border of Alabama and Tennessee. Below are pics of some interesting information about Veto's heritage.
Sasquatch spotted between Elkmont and Veto (pic below).
Much of the Tennessee countryside I rode through today had scenery similar to that pictured below.
Passed by this interesting structure. I just wonder how long it has been around.
I made it to the Natchez Trace Parkway and stopped by the Gordon House. While there I met Jim, who has been on the road for about 5 weeks. He lives in Miami, FL, and biked from there. When he completes the Trace, he is going to bike to Pigeon Forge, TN, to visit his sister, and then will decide where to go next. Also at Gordon House, a nice lady named Kimberly let me charge my phone in her car while she was out hiking. (Pics below)
Not sure why I can't comment under buy own name this time, but thanks for sharing this again! I love riding along on your adventures! Deb Horn
