Below is what would be my blog's profile photo if we could figure out how to put it there. For months, I have been searching for the perfect opportunity to take a photo of a heron through the main triangle of my Heron bicycle. A few weeks ago, I was able to capture the picture below on the Riverwalk in Chattanooga. The heron (bird) kept a close eye on me while I fumbled around looking for my phone and trying to get the correct angle for the shot. I was afraid it was going to fly away before I could get the photo snapped, but it hung in there for me. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. :)
Today was a short day of riding. I rode from my father-in-law's house in Huntsville to my brother, Ricky, and sister-in-law's, Pam, house in Athens. I have camped in their backyard a couple of other times during a bicycle tour. They always invite me to sleep indoors, and find it hard to believe someone would rather sleep outside instead of inside. Pam cooked some awesome supper consisting of spaghetti, salad, and bread, and topped it off with a pie that was delicious. It was a special time eating with Ricky and Pam, my great-niece, Adalynn, my brother, Donny, and Pam's mother, Addie.
Total miles for the day: 15.5
